Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Shepherd Shorty's, LLC, doing business as Shepherd Shorty's ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit shepherdshortys.com, place an order, or contact us.
Information we collect
Orders and payments
Checkout is hosted and processed by Stripe. We may receive your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, order and transaction details, payment status, fraud-prevention signals, and limited payment-method details. The full payment-card number is processed by Stripe and is not stored in this website's files.
Communications
If you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address, order number, message, and photographs or other supporting material.
Website use
Our hosting, security, font, and infrastructure providers may automatically receive technical information such as an IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referring page, and date and time of access.
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and checkout activity. It may collect or derive information such as pages viewed, general location, device and browser characteristics, referring source, campaign parameters in a page address, and interactions such as beginning checkout or reaching an order-confirmation page.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- process payments and provide receipts;
- fulfill, ship, and track orders;
- calculate and document applicable taxes;
- respond to questions, cancellations, replacements, and refunds;
- detect fraud, secure the site, and prevent misuse;
- understand website traffic, campaign performance, and the checkout funnel;
- maintain accounting and business records; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies.
How we disclose information
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate the store, including to:
- Stripe, which processes checkout, payments, fraud screening, and refunds;
- Google Analytics, which provides website and campaign measurement;
- our bakery and order-fulfillment providers;
- shipping carriers and delivery-service providers;
- website hosting, email, security, accounting, legal, and other operational providers;
- government authorities or other parties when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety; and
- a successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the business.
Stripe handles personal information under its own Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently use personal information for promotional email marketing.
Cookies and tracking
The storefront uses Google Analytics cookies and similar browser storage to distinguish visits, measure page and checkout activity, and attribute traffic such as QR-code visits. Browser session storage retains an accepted QR attribution value for the current browser tab. Our current Google Analytics configuration disables Google signals and advertising personalization. We do not currently use advertising pixels or targeted-advertising cookies.
Our storefront measurement does not send names, email or postal addresses, payment details, exact order values, quantities, tax, shipping, or Stripe Checkout Session IDs to Google Analytics.
Service providers, including Stripe during checkout and providers that host site assets, may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. This site also loads fonts and analytics technology from Google. Google's handling of related information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although doing so can reduce the accuracy of website measurement. Because there is no generally accepted technical standard for browser "Do Not Track" signals, the storefront does not respond separately to them. We will update this policy before adding advertising technology or materially different tracking.
Retention and security
We retain information only as reasonably necessary for fulfillment, support, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. We then delete or de-identify it when appropriate, subject to our providers' independent retention requirements.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system or method of transmission is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information. Email support@shepherdshortys.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity, and legal exceptions may apply.
Children
The store is not directed to children under 13, and orders must be placed by an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
